B-Fit Event, Excel London

From just 2 hours looking around the B-Fit Expo at Excel this weekend I reckon it has potential to grow into something much bigger.
For an opening day I expected a larger event and certainly more punters for the entry price, however, the demos and free taster classes were good value and appealing to both the professional and non fitness industry types alike.
From Olympic lifting equipment providers through to fancy hula hoops, protein packaged in all manner of guises, MMA & other martial arts based demos…with their franchises/courses on offer, the forever hopeful kangaroo hopper things, gymsticks, pole dancers and the odd big boobed male & female!
My highlights included watching the kettlercise the franchise & demo. From my brief observation it was clear that the formula is to use light weights with multiple high repetitions. The technique of gripping the KB by the horns for a bicep curl then moving into a swing with the same grip is certainly a different mindset to traditional Kettlebell lifting  with increased risk of injury for weights above the 8kg on display (a petty gripe perhaps), anyway more impressive were the gymnasts – poetry of movement.

There were great displays of strength from the pole ‘dancers’, or should that be Pole gymnasts including a young male doing the flagpole manoeuvre (that’s gripping the pole with the legs unsupported and extended sideways), plus chin-ups/pull-ups & muscle ups from the Beaverfit equipment providers.
Hopefully the videos will summarize the event best. Overall 6.5/10 and worth a visit
